Our face is the mirror of our personality and exterior appearance. Our sense of face and face image reflects us in society. Years cause some deterioration on our faces as well as our bodies. The face skin, which is vibrant and smooth when you are young, leaves you with wrinkles and sagging when you get older. This aging face may disturb the person. Nobody wants to grow older or look bad. Therefore, facial rejuvenation surgeries are performed more and more every day. Among these, non-surgical face lift or face lift surgery is the first. Because the longer the life of people and the more socio-cultural development of the self-care of people is increasing naturally.

What are the risks of face lift surgery?
Bleeding:The risk of postoperative bleeding is less as we do the surgery in a non-bleeding environment with special medications that we inject into the region. In addition, the thin drain we place in this area also reduces this risk. However, this risk exists in patients with hypertension. Subcutaneous accumulation of blood can be removed easily. Bleeding under the skin may delay healing and result in poor scarring. For this reason, it is very important that the blood pressure is controlled and the aspirin-like medications that increase the bleeding are left 1 week in advance.
Infection:The face is a very well-blooded area. Therefore, the risk of infection is very small. This risk is reduced to a lesser extent by the protective antibiotherapy we have applied before and after the surgery. In rare cases, if infection develops, additional antibiotic therapy and dressing may be required.
Remaining bad trace: There may be traces due to loss of skin because of genetic traits, infections or smoking. These traces may require additional treatments.
Nerve damage:During the face lift operation, the motor and sensory nerves may be damaged. There may be weakness or loss of facial movements after face lift operation. Nerve damage can cause temporary or permanent loss of movement and sensation in the face. This type of damage may improve over time. Damage to the sensory nerves of the face, neck and ear can cause temporary or permanent numbness. Painful nerve is seen very rarely.
Hair loss:In the areas where the skin is pulled up during the face lift aesthetic operation, hair loss may occur. Whether this will happen is not known in advance.
6 Long-term effects: Changes may occur in the face as result of aging, weight gain or loss, sunshine and some other conditions. Face lift surgery does not stop aging or sustain the tension of the face and neck. New surgeries and treatments may be required in the future in order to maintain the results of facelift surgery.
